Hello and welcome to Totally Awesome Childcare. I'm Angela Leslie, the proud founder of this fantastic childcare center. With over 15 years of experience as a center owner and a professional background in nursing, my goal was to create a truly enchanting place for all children, including my own, to thrive. Even though my own children have grown, my profound passion remains intact, driving me to create exceptional opportunities for your children to have the best experience of their little lives! Your trust in our commitment to excellence is truly appreciated, and I'm honored to be a part of your children's growth and development.

Our Curriculum
Our childcare center embraces a child-led, play-based approach inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. We celebrate each child's innate curiosity and creativity by offering a flexible curriculum that evolves based on their interests and interactions. Our teachers observe and document these moments, shaping learning experiences that encourage exploration, problem-solving, and emotional development through various forms of play.
Our inviting space is intentionally designed to spark curiosity, with open-ended materials and areas for collaborative work and reflection. Projects emerge from children's inquiries, allowing for in-depth exploration, research, and expression across diverse topics. Documentation of their experiences serves as a reflective tool for both educators and children.
We place a strong emphasis on building relationships among children, educators, families, and the community, fostering collaborative projects and integrating art, music, and other expressive forms into our curriculum. Encouraging questions, critical thinking, problem-solving, and experimentation, our teachers act as facilitators in guiding children's inquiries within our supportive and collaborative environment. Ultimately, our child-led approach prioritizes each child's voice, creativity, and curiosity, nurturing a lifelong love for learning."
